Hello there, and welcome to BRICK, or Birthdays of Relatively Insignificant Characters (and Keanu). We are doing this mainly to amuse ourselves, although for any other Harry Potter fan who happens to stumble upon this page, feel free to be amused yourself as well (or else leave us angry comments about how stupid we are).
Where did this come from? As any self-respecting Harry Potter fan knows by now, J.K. Rowling occasionally posts character birthdays on her website. Thanks to JKR, we now know that Hagrid was born on December 6th, and Professor Flitwick on October 17th. But what about the lesser characters? They must have birthdays as well, and in our opinion, if people should celebrate Harry Potter's birthday, they can darn well also celebrate Millicent Bulstrode's. On this page, you will be able to learn the birthdays of all your favorite minor HP characters, and even the birthdays of those you never knew existed. Also, we will be sure to include some tantalizing tidbits of information about these characters that neither you, nor J.K. Rowling, ever knew existed! Ah, perhaps you're wondering why Keanu Reeves is mentioned...well, we can't very well go around with an acronym of BRIC, can we? Hermione was able to make her acronym spell out a real word, and so should we. Therefore, Keanu's birthday will be mentioned here as well (and it's coming up sooner than you may think!). So sit back, enjoy, and send out your most sincere birthday wishes to Dudley Dursley's favorite TV magician, The Great Humberto.
Semi-serious disclaimer: Like the staff at mugglenet.com, I am also deathly afraid of lawyers. So much so, in fact, that I can't help but close my eyes every time I drive by a law office or courthouse on my way to work. This reminds me that I promised to say hello to a Mrs. Edith Branch, who claims to have been hit by my car last Thursday outside the local courthouse. I really can't say what happened, as I wasn't exactly looking at the road at the time. But anyway, hang in there Edith, I'm sure those 47 broken bones will heal in no time! And one other quick message for Edith, perhaps in the future it would be a good idea not to cross the street at the intersection of 19th and Elm at 8:45 AM on weekdays (8:50 AM if the traffic is bad). OK, that got a bit off topic. Back to the disclaimer, much of the "information" presented here will be made up, so think of it as a fan-fiction, only without the unbelievably beautiful American exchange student who finds herself in a love triangle with Harry and Draco literally within seconds of arriving at Hogwarts. I don't own any of these characters (nor do I own Keanu), and don't intend to make any money off this, blah blah blah, don't sue me.
